Sustainable Organization

A sound organization is critical to effectively implementing a community-driven plan. The RACU has been working to build the capacity of the GACCA. The group typically has approximately 25 residents attend its membership meetings. These meetings allow community residents to have input into the revitalization process. The Mayor, staff of the RACU and the City's Code Enforcement Officer regularly attend the meetings and provide updates to residents as well as respond to any complaints or questions that arise. RACU and GACCA also realize the importance of properly trained members and officers. Recently, five members received introductory leadership training from STEPS to a Healthier Fayette. In addition GACCA's Executive Committee as well as the rest of the committees our establishing regular monthly meetings to address projects in detail.
