Uniontown Senior Apartments
Uniontown Senior Apartments, a $7.5 million development is being constructed at the former location of American Legion Post 51, 114 N. Gallatin Avenue. The developer is the Fayette County Community Action Agency and PIRHL Developers. The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Uniontown (RACU) helped secure grant funding for the project and the Gallatin Avenue Concerned Citizens Association gave their support to the development. The building will contain 12 one-bedroom, one-bath, 675 square-foot apartments, and 24 two-bedroom, one-bath, 856 square foot apartments. 3 of the units will be fully handicapped accessible. Each unit will include a range, refrigerator, disposal, under the counter dishwashers, central A/C, washer-dryer hookups, large walk-in storage closet, pantry, and central HVAC. The units will be digitally accessible and contain Green Building features including Energy Star appliances and windows. Building amenities include over 2,500 square feet of community space, including a large living room, exercise room, computer room and library, meeting room and laundry rooms on all three floors. Security features include color security cameras, a glass-break monitoring system, and key pad access at the main entrance.
